For campers to do on their own before reporting back to the cabin check-in!
#1 Outdoor Adventure
Take a moment and a few deep breaths. Adults: ask your camper what it means to see things in your mind before they happen (AKA “The Force” from Star Wars). Tell them you’re going for a walk outside and ask them what they think you’ll see. Once outside, it’s time to use The Force
and find all of the items that you listed. (Feel free to take your lightsaber along with you!)
#2 Indoor Activity: Yoga
Stand up straight, extend arms overhead, interlace fingers and extend pointer fingers up to the sky.
Millennium Falcon pose:
Step to the back of the mat, place your arms at your sides, step forward with one foot and lean forward so that your rear leg hovers above the ground and see how long you can balance.
Crouch down as low to the ground as you can, and place your hands by your ears with fingertips pointing to the sky –– voila! Yoda ears.
#3 Storytime: This is the Firefighter
By Laura Godwin, Illustrated by Julian Hector
About the story: Ride along on a fire engine to see what happens after the fire alarm sounds in the station.
