#1 Storytime: Where the Wild Things Are
By Maurice Sendak
This one needs no introduction, but we like giving one, so here goes: Where the Wild Things Are is the story of a little boy named Max. After his mother sends him to bed without dinner, Max falls asleep and his room immediately transforms into a moonlit forest surrounded by a vast ocean. The rest, as they say, is history.
Watch a read-aloud here!
#2 Outdoor Adventure: Take Out The Trash
The earth and the animals are our friends, and we need to make sure we take care of both! One way we can help our animal friends is to make sure we pick up any trash or garbage in our neighborhood that might hurt them if they eat it or get stuck in it. So put on a helper hat (to make it official), grab a trash bag and walk up your street, then down another, filling your bag with any bits of paper or soda cans or plastic thingies you find.
Be sure to take a picture of what you find and post it on social to get your friends involved, too. (Don’t forget to tag @thewonder so we can see, too!)
